چکیده
There is a dearth of information on the effect macadamia husk compost (MHC) productivity short-season, shallow-rooted annual crops. We assessed response yield and nutrient uptake Chinese cabbage (Brassica rapa L. Chinensis) to MHC application. The treatments (zero control, inorganic fertilizer (100:60:60 kg NPK ha−1), 15 30 t ha−1 MHC) were arranged in randomized complete block design replicated three times. Number leaves, leaf area index, biomass, concentration (N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Zn, Cu, Mn, B) determined at 28, 46, 74 days after transplanting (DAT), root length biomass DAT. Inorganic increased with greater increases recorded higher rates. application (28 DAT) (74 suggesting that organic soil amendments more pronounced over long run compared fertilizers. macronutrients fertilizer. Clearly, may be beneficial improving loamy sand soil, but varies time harvesting.

Growth inhibition in Chinese cabbage (Brassica rapa var. chinensis) growth exposed to di-n-butyl phthalate.
The toxicity and effects of di-n-butyl phthalate (DBP), an endocrine disruptor, on the growth of Chinese cabbage (Brassica rapa var. chinensis) were studied. Etiolation occurred on leaves of Chinese cabbage plant treated with 50mg/L of DBP for 42 d. DBP even below 1mg/L had a significant effect on the concentration of chlorophyll in Chinese cabbage and the biomass showed a severe decrease under...
متن کاملComparative Transcriptome Analysis Reveals Heat-Responsive Genes in Chinese Cabbage (Brassica rapa ssp. chinensis)
Chinese cabbage (Brassica rapa ssp. chinensis) is an economically and agriculturally significant vegetable crop and is extensively cultivated throughout the world. Heat stress disturbs cellular homeostasis and causes visible growth inhibition of shoots and roots, severe retardation in growth and development, and even death. However, there are few studies on the transcriptome profiling of heat s...
متن کاملPhysiological and Transcriptomic Responses of Chinese Cabbage (Brassica rapa L. ssp. Pekinensis) to Salt Stress
Salt stress is one of the major abiotic stresses that severely impact plant growth and development. In this study, we investigated the physiological and transcriptomic responses of Chinese cabbage "Qingmaye" to salt stress, a main variety in North China. Our results showed that the growth and photosynthesis of Chinese cabbage were significantly inhibited by salt treatment. However, as a glycoph...
متن کاملGenome-wide analysis and expression profiles of glyoxalase gene families in Chinese cabbage (Brassica rapa L)
The glyoxalase pathway is composed of glyoxalase I (GLYI) and glyoxalase II (GLYII) and is responsible for the detoxification of a cytotoxic metabolite methylglyoxal (MG) into the nontoxic S-D-lactoylglutathione. The two glyoxalase enzymes play a crucial role in stress tolerance in various plant species. Recently, the GLY gene families have well been analyzed in Arabidopsis, rice and soybean, h...

Orange inner leaves/heads is a qualitative trait in Chinese cabbage that is controlled by a single recessive gene. Orange head Chinese cabbage contain more carotenoids than its white head counterpart; hence, this trait is of interest to both researchers and consumers. In this study, we selected the orange head Chinese cabbage line 07A163 and the white head Chinese cabbage line Chiifu as test ma...
